Educator. Veteran. Problem-Solver. Proud Iowan.
Joe Stutting is a lifelong public servant who has dedicated his career to helping others—whether in the classroom, the boardroom, or serving on the city council. Raised in Clinton County by a hardworking welder, Joe learned the values of responsibility, faith, and community from an early age.
After serving in the National Guard and wrestling as a collegiate All-American, Joe went into education, where he spent 18 years as a superintendent and more than three decades helping Iowa students and families succeed. Today, he serves as Superintendent of the North Scott Community School District and President of the School Administrators of Iowa.
Joe’s leadership has never been confined to the school system. He’s served on the city council, chaired regional education partnerships, led local Rotary and Lions Clubs, and supported youth and family causes through the United Way, YMCA, and Scott County Kids.
Joe and his wife Jami, a retired public school teacher, have been married for 38 years. They have three children and eight grandchildren, and they enjoy boating, golfing, and spending time with family.
Joe is running for the Iowa Senate to:
– Cut taxes and curb wasteful government spending
– Improve Iowa’s public schools and career training
– Defend conservative, small-town values
– Ensure Iowa remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family
“This district is home. I’ve lived and worked in nearly every corner of it—from Camanche to Maquoketa to Princeton. I know what it takes to deliver results and move our communities forward.”
— Joe Stutting
